Hello,
The fact that you don't see it in Task Manager is expected. The app doesn't need to be running in the background to do it's job. In fact, as you noticed, we explicitly close the app after you've activated a profile.
However, the fact that it doesn't block calls is unexpected. Try this: reboot your device, pick a different profile, then select the "Block all calls" profiles. Now see if it works. See if the reboot fixes it.
